Early Childhood Development


The Associate of Science degree in child care provides academic preparation for individuals planning to teach or assist in programs for pre-primary age children (birth through five). Examples of such programs include day care, Head Start, nursery schools, private kindergartens, and after-school programs. Individuals with this degree may also work in a variety of family service settings. All students must meet the required minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and a "C" or better in major requirements before enrolling in the practicum, CDF 350.
