Master's Degrees

♦  The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences offers the Master of Science in Community Nutrition, which is designed to prepare professionals for nutrition positions in a variety of community health agencies. This degree has two options: Option 1 for persons who do not plan to complete a dietetic internship and Option 2 for persons who do plan to complete a dietetic internship. Only Option 2 leads to Registered Dietitian (RD) eligibility.

The Education Master's degrees (Family and Consumer Sciences Option) are offered in the College of Education in cooperation with the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.

♦  FCS Teaching Certification (Grades 5-12): The Master of Arts in Teaching is a graduate degree program designed for individuals holding non-teaching baccalaureate degrees in appropriate fields who want to earn teacher certification for the secondary (5 - 12) level.  Eligible individuals include those with baccalaureate degrees in nutrition, child and family studies, apparel design and merchandising, interior design, or family economics.  For more information: http://mat.eku.edu
