The American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences annual meeting was held in June 2006, in Charlotte, N.C.

Susan Kipp, Assistant Professor and Advisor in Apparel Design & Merchandising, received the Outstanding Advisor Award.

Tiffany J. Welch received the Jewel L. Taylor Fellowship for $5,000. Tiffany is pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching.
