The Family Living Center is located on the first floor and may be used by
student organizations in the department for meetings and functions.

Apparel Design's fully equipped facilities include a testing laboratory with environmentally controlled conditions, a textile science laboratory and classroom. The lab equipment is used for testing the performance qualities of fabrics. The construction studio includes apparel production equipment, computers, men's, women's and children's full size forms for draping and women's half scale forms.

Students enrolled in Beginning Food Preparation, Meal Management and Experimental Foods classes utilize the two well-equipped food science laboratories located on the third floor.

A dining room is also available on the third floor for students to practice table setting and meal etiquette.

The computer lab is for use by FCS Department majors. This thirty-nine station lab features up-to-date fully networked computers with current software for each program. There is also a smart board with instructor station to facilitate course presentations. When not in use for class instruction, the lab is open for students to work on projects and conduct internet and library searches.

A student study/lounge is housed on the fourth floor. Students utilize this area for study groups, lunch breaks and social gathering between classes.
